TIGR2ESS: Transforming India's Green Revolution by Research and Empowerment for Sustainable food Supplies

A Global Challenges Research Fund project

Please note that, following advice from the Festivals team, this event has unfortunately been cancelled. We hope to reschedule for later in 2020.

Our second event at this year's Cambridge Science Festival is an exhibition of stunning photography from India, depicting relationships with food and the livelihoods of those involved in its production. Join researchers from the TIGR2ESS programme to hear the hidden context of these images and discuss different ideals of sustainable food production.

Photos are powerful storytelling tools, but their meaning is open to interpretation. Food-related images increasingly divide opinion. Join scientists and social scientists for an exhibition exploring the underlying meanings of images from India that capture the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ of food production.

Book your free place via the Cambridge Science Festival website from 11am on Monday 10 February.
