Nutritional Kitchen Gardens: Green Eating for Healthy Living

The team at Panjab University, Chandigarh, have produced this short film featuring their work on Nutrition Kitchen Gardens (Poshan Vatika) as part of TIGR2ESS.

'It was a joy to see the pride and satisfaction among the kitchen gardeners.  We believe that the Government’s program Poshan Vatika can be adopted by secondary schools at the village level to be the focal point for the village kitchen gardeners, organising regular community activities with experts from the horticulture department, nutritionists, the cooperative department and banks supporting self-help groups.  Thus effecting the convergence of nutrition and wellbeing, and skills and entrepreneurship.’
